After a three month sales slump, the owners of Taponazo’s in Fayetteville decided to go with a more affordable approach.
They closed down the restaurant in January and re-opened it as Railhead Saloon.
“It was a tough decision, but we decided at the very end of December that we were going to shut down and take about a month and a half to remodel, change the kitchen up, get a new menu,” says co-owner Shawn Stigge.
Railhead Saloon offers burgers, chicken and draft beer.
The owners hope the new restaurant will appeal to the college crowd and people wanting to save money.
