Dickson Street is already one of four national historic districts in Fayetteville, but it could also become a local historic district.
Monday night the Fayetteville Historic District Commission held a meeting to discuss the issue. Members of the commission say they want to make sure Dickson Street’s antique buildings are here to stay.
“We just want those gems, those special buildings that give Fayetteville and Dickson Street its distinct character and keep those gems,” explains Leslie Belden, the Chair of the Fayetteville Historic District Commission.
